Beyond the bin: Circular solutions for urban waste in Southeast Asian cities
Efforts towards a circular economy (CE) transition seek to address the world’s growing waste problem through efficient resource use, waste minimization, and holistic multi-sectoral solutions. While the CE concept is relatively new in Southeast Asia versus industrialized countries, cities in the region are leading the way in the creation of circular policies and actions that foster inclusive sustainable development for both human and natural systems—all as part of their share in addressing the climate emergency.
