When ICLEI and the city of Bonn originally designed the Daring Cities Forum, the diverse sustainability organizations of Bonn – and in particular the Bonn international non-governmental organizations – were an important part of the in-person event. When the Forum shifted to a virtual format, the original planning of live events hosted by as many Bonn-based organizations as possible turned into the idea of a mini-series of events showcasing the work coming out of Bonn that is feeding into global climate and sustainability debates.
