In a time where cities and urban communities face high vulnerability to climate change risks, global climate finance for adaptation efforts continue to receive limited funding. Based on the success of the AdaptFin pilot training course, funded by UNDRR, this workshop will provide a snapshot of the tools and knowledge tailor- made for global cities. Covering core topics such as where the gaps lay for vulnerable populations and why capacity-building is crucial for adaptation finance, participants will enhance their ability to identify gaps, engage relevant actors, and conceptualize bankable projects, increasing their chances of securing funding and technical assistance.
