Building resilience in Small Island Developing States: Community-centered approaches
Small Island Development States (SIDS) are at the forefront of the climate emergency. Their unique intersections of vulnerability – isolation, sea-level rise, exposure, food insecurity, high degrees of dependence on external resources, and limited government resources – exacerbate the complexity of the challenges that they need to address. This session will explore community-centered approaches as a mechanism to mainstream inclusion, equity, and holistic planning for building resilience and self-reliance in SIDS.
This event will be held in English.
